Making maps and finishing up assemblage

Today, the identity group explored mapmaking. The class started by talking about the different things maps can do, and then looked at examples of community maps made by artists Aisha Cousins and Katie Bachler. They finished up by working in groups on collaborative maps about their shared experiences and identities.

The environment group continued developing their large scale assemblage artworks. Many students have been adding more and more layers of materials. A few students ventured outside to include natural elements like leaves and bark.
