Today in City Art Lab, students in both groups worked on focus.
The Identity group did mindfulness and meditation exercises, practicing centering of the self. They ventured outdoors to continue their cyanotype projects, and wrote personal stories through objects while the cyanotypes developed.
The Environment group focused on building out their assemblages, experimenting with materials and creating layers. They looked at artists like Nick Cave and Rachel Harrison for inspiration on how to combine diverse mediums into a cohesive sculptural object.
