Final Day of Rotation One – Printmaking and Watercolor

The Transformation and Roots/History teaching artist and student teams finished strong with their first rotation projects! Team Transformation continued to look at how we can think of transformation in terms of how we can manipulate art materials. They began creating their final pieces using techniques learned in previous classes, such as ink and charcoal, with the addition of watercolor as a mode of transformation.

Roots/History finished up their symbols project, in which the students designed a meaningful symbol that represented their history and where they come from. This was finalized in the form of printmaking, with some very surprising and exciting results! Check out student work below to see some of the processes and products that came out of each lesson!
