The Center for Arts Education (CAE) is seeking interns for its Teaching and Learning Department beginning in mid-September through late May. Interns work closely with department staff helping to coordinate, facilitate and document multiple aspects of CAE’s teaching and learning flagship programs, including in-school and afterschool teaching artist residencies, parent engagement activities, conferences, trainings and professional development workshops, school visits and student activities. Academic credit is provided if applicable. Interns must be available to work 15-20hrs a week.
The Center for Arts Education is dedicated to ensuring that all New York City public school students have quality arts learning as an essential part of their K-12 education. CAE successfully serves as the “go-to” resource for media, government officials and others on arts education issues, and with the delivery of high-quality, well-informed arts programs in schools, is making a difference in the education of New York City’s 1.1 million public schools students.
